Ok, I admit, up until a few months ago I hadn’t ever tried Purex detergents. Up until that time I had been using the same detergent that I began using while pregnant with my (now five and a half years old) twins. At the time I was pregnant everyone I knew had always used Dreft, there seemed to be this unspoken rule that that was the one and only detergent you could use with children. I had been fortunate a few years before my pregnancy to get a front loading washing machine (also referred to as he “high efficiency”). I knew while I was pregnant that Dreft didn’t come in a he version and I knew that I was only supposed to use detergent with “HE” on the bottle. It didn’t leave me many alternatives because at the time I only knew of one company that made a “Free ‘n Clear” version, so that is the brand I used up until a few months ago. Don’t get me wrong, I have nothing negative to say about “that other brand”, but I was looking for a way to save money (kids are expensive, lol) … so that lead me to make my first purchase of a Purex brand detergent. It didn’t take long for me to fall in love with Purex, not only does it do a fantastic job of cleaning our laundry but it’s half the price of “that other brand” I was using.

I had no idea I’d be chosen to use and review the Purex Triple Action Free ‘n Clear detergent, I like to joke that the “laundry angels” must have sensed I needed it. My detergent to use and review happened to arrive not long after returning from a week long family vacation. When we left for vacation I left behind some dirty laundry, I had a weeks worth of dirty laundry from vacation, plus we had been home a few days and even more laundry had began to pile up. I knew this would be the perfect time and true test to use the detergent I had just received. I have five year old twin boys that love to get into all kinds of things, which usually ends up on their clothes. I also knew there had been some spills on clothing during vacation. I have to say I was very pleased with the end results because all my laundry came out clean and smelling great. I love using Purex and am looking forward to continue using them and when the New & Improved formula hits the store shelves, I will be adding it to my cart!
